TELUS HOSTING & INNOVATION CENTRES, 25 YORK STREET
Both the Telus Innovation and Hosting Centres required lighting schemes that would embody the industry leader’s corporate identity as a sustainably-minded, technologically savvy innovator. As a project that was undertaken during the early advent of LED products for general lighting, MBL designed a number of custom fixtures to sees the project’s progressive design vision to fruition.
The Hosting Centre lighting design included over 90m of low outlet LED tape light strip fixtures that sprinkle a playful pattern of light and add a layer of texture through the mixture of warm and slightly cool light. Detailed elevation studies were conducted to ensure that the random pattern of light had a balanced LED effect.
The Innovation Centre is fitted with custom suspended light fixtures that include white LED indirect and coloured LED downward sources to add to the space’s ambience.
