Home to Canada’s largest software company, the 12th floor reception area reflects the technology giant’s commitment to innovation and creativity.
The open concept office was in need of a lighting design strategy to facilitate collaboration, private meetings and entertaining. With the addition of luminaires that feature individual control of diffuse direct and indirect lighting as well as partially integrated downlighting, moods are able to shift effortlessly from a bright business environment to an intimate entertaining space. Clerestory domes funnel natural light to both the main boardroom and Customer Briefing Center and each space is uniquely defined by graphic linear forms or translucent floating, circling forms, respectively. Delicate LED and geometric lighting fixtures complement the space’s domed ceilings and round tables and allow optical control features.
MBL’s contemporary design embodies the company’s key values of innovation, social responsibility and sustainability.
